About Me

Helping unruly introverted multipotentialites to improve their mental health

Well, that's pretty much it, honestly!

I know, I know. I should speak about your pain points, stimulate your frustration and play with your FOMO to hook you.
I should address your exhaustion, anxiety and loneliness.
Emphasize you are actually damn f*cking miserable and that I possess the solution to all of your problems.
I don't.
I won't.

What I can offer, or I must say, share is... my life experiences, skills and thoughts on various topics related to well-being.
Hoping that it will be useful to some of you.

Now let's get to the meat of the matter.

What the heck is Renessence Renegade?

Renessence Renegade is a safe space for multipotentialites. Also called multipassionates, scanners or Renaissance persons.

Those type of people show great aptitudes in more than one field.

The peculiar thing is that She, Them or He is incapable of choosing only one career as their passions are all equally important.

A multipotentialite is not necessarily a genius but will undeniably be a person very curious and eager to learn.

Renessence Renegade is a spot for Quiet, Curious & Rebellious minds who crave freedom.

Freedom to be themselves.
In order to achieve this goal, we need to focus on one important aspect of health : MENTAL WELLNESS!

My plan (who said evil? 🤭) is divided into 3 parts :

EXPRESSING OUR FEELINGS THROUGH ARTISTIC ACTIVITIES
Songs, movies, books, paintings, dance performances and so many other art forms can move us.
They provoke within us joy, pain, laughter, fear, surprise...
Art has always been part of the human experience and will always be.
Through art, we can experience what's called catharsis: the release or purging of repressed emotions through certain kinds of art.
Art is a tool for self-expression, to discover hidden parts of ourselves and to communicate with others on a deeper level.

No need to be an artist to use this powerful tool. Like you don't need to be a Formula 1 pilot to drive a car.
Here we are not looking for performance.
Our goal is to be allowed to feel emotions and translate them into a creative medium.

I chose drawing and writing mainly because those are the disciplines I enjoy the most.
But feel free to use any art form of your choice, as long as you truly enjoy it.

PROVIDING MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT THROUGH SELF-GROWTH TALKS
I will share with you the therapies I've discovered during my travels around the world. Techniques and tips to awaken our spirit, release stuck emotions and enhance our mental and spiritual health.

This will take the form of a podcast, which is currently in preparation.
I will talk about diverse subjects like multipotentiality, shadow work, resilience, entheogen plants, grief, emotion regulation, self-worth, non-violent communication, introversion, ancient healing, creativity, desire ... No restrictions here.

IMPROVING OUR WELLNESS & CREATIVITY WITH CREATIVE GASTRONOMY

You are invited to PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD!
Yes, screw what the adults told us when we were young.

As a food designer, my main goal is to provoke emotions using food as playground.
Activating the 5 senses to create memorable experiences around the table.

Using the science of aromas (food pairing) and the principles of colour, composition, texture... (food styling) I wish to entertain people and help them decrease their stress level.
The goal is to express ourselves while enjoying tasty and healthy meals.

Our recipes are :
- 90% plant-based (with sometimes eggs, fish, seafood)
- 95% gluten-free, dairy-free and low in sugar

- 100% mouth-watering. They are so delicious; it's almost obscene.

I've managed to keep the recipes high-end yet easy to recreate.

SCIENTIFIC RESSOURCES
Half "woo woo", half scientist, my heart is split between the countless esoteric experiences I've lived and my love for science.
And because I don't want to choose, I embrace both.
So here are some scientific research publications about various subjects I'll cover on this website.
This is a small compilation of articles for those who don't have time to scour the Internet to find proofs.
You're welcome!

WHO'S BEHIND

Bonjour I'm Dee, a Food designer, essayist and creator from France.
But above all a Spiritual Explorer and Psychonaute.

I've already talked a little bit about my motivations for creating this community.
But I wanted to add some random facts about myself, so you can learn a little more about me.

1. When I was little, I was obsessed with Bruce Lee and used to say he was my husband (even though I knew he was dead)
2. I cherish cherries above all food on earth
3. I've been an avid traveler but my dream is to visit Antarctica
4. I feel strongly connected to the Celtic lore and sometimes wish I was a druid (I probably am)
5. My favourite instrument is the cello (but I don't play it... Yet)
6. I can't get enough of the musical Hamilton although I hate musicals!
7. Yellow is my favourite color, but I'm actually in a "green period"
8. My personality type is INFP
9. One of my favourite place, except my bed, is : La Cité des sciences et de l'Industrie, a science museum in Paris
10. I listen to my Harry Potter audio books all the time. Yes, a true Potterhead.

11. I have suffered from chronic pain for almost two decades now. Doctors have no explanation. So I'm trying to improve my health alone.

12. Staying focused has always been the hardest thing to do for me. I should probably get tested for ADD!

13. Animated movies are my favourite genre, and I saw Puss in Boots 2 at the theater seven times in the span of one month. I stopped only because the VOST wasn't available anymore in France.

14. When I was in Australia, the police stopped me while I was playing in the street with my foam nunchuk. They treated me as if I was a dangerous criminal and screamed : "Drop your weapon". To my defense, I wasn't aware that in some countries, the possession of a nunchaku is highly regulated or even illegal.

Like Biggie used to say :" And if you don't know, now you know n*gga".

Well lesson learned. I play with a poï now.

Quick note

On this website, I'm only sharing what has worked for me, hoping that it will help you too. I've tested so many things that you'll have plenty to choose from.
But keep in mind that we all have our own sensitivity. And that maybe the therapies and technics I've used might have little to no effects on you.
